The fusion between pop and rock became more pronounced during the 70s, 80s, and 90s. At this intersection between rock and pop, many of the biggest bands emerged with their incomparable hits that have endured for decades. Bands that were among the most popular and commercially successful of these decades, such as Queen, Toto, Fleetwood Mac, Journey, The Eagles, and many more—the so-called “stadium rock” was born.
