Multivision show with Ralf Schwan: “Georgia”

A country in the Caucasus, the size of Bavaria, but with a diversity rarely found anywhere else on earth.

The diversity - ancient cultures, religion, warm hospitality, culinary highlights and the fascinating, grandiose mountain world - was to inspire and captivate me again and again on my travels through the country.

The Georgian Orthodox Church is of great importance and shapes the people and culture. In particular, the Georgian Easter is the most important event of the year. How young and old prepare for it and celebrate the Easter ritual in the churches was one of the special moments on my tours through Georgia.

The Greater Caucasus - a must for mountain lovers. Through the wild Svaneti with its old fortified towers, the ascent of Mount Prometheus Kasbek (5033 m), with packhorses through the lonely Khevsuretia to Shatili and Muzo and on over the Atsunta Pass through Tusheti are mountain adventures in a class of their own.

Other regions of Georgia also offer something uniquely fascinating: the Vashlovani National Park with its flora and fauna, Kakheti's wine region and the country's culinary hotspot or Javakheti's plateau and the volcanic landscape in the south of Georgia - all of these became further highlights of my travels through the Caucasus republic.

Experience a portrait of the country between Europe and Asia in my live multi-vision report - with impressive images, authentic videos and background music - and let yourself be captivated by the magic of the wild Caucasus.

The Udo Jürgens Story - His life, his love, his music!

The Udo Jürgens Story - His life, his love, his music “A must for all Udo fans!”

Udo Jürgens was an exceptional artist throughout his life and he remains unforgotten. The more than 250,000 viewers who have experienced and cheered “The Udo Jürgens Story” with Gabriela Benesch and Alex Parker since fall 2019 are testament to this. The successful show is far from over. Over 100 guest appearances in Germany and Austria are on the tour schedule again in 2026.

“The Udo Jürgens Story - His Life, His Love, His Music” is an insightful, entertaining and extraordinary tribute to the grand seigneur of German popular music. The multi-award-winning film and theater actress Gabriela Benesch and Alex Parker, currently the best-known and probably best Udo Jürgens interpreter, take their guests on a musical journey through time from evergreens such as “Merci Cherie”, “Ein ehrenwertes Haus”, “Ich war noch niemals in New York”, “Griechischer Wein”, “Aber bitte mit Sahne”, “Mit 66 Jahren” to “5 Minuten vor 12”, “Mein Ziel” and many other hits. Under the direction of Erich Furrer, the brilliant duo Benesch and Parker provide an evening full of memories and surprises and will make the heart of every Udo Jürgens fan beat faster. Udo Jürgens was a free spirit in every respect. Musically, he moved light-heartedly between pop hits, chanson, jazz and pop music. In terms of content, he was committed to peace, freedom and, above all, love, and was not afraid to take the occasional stance. With 61 albums and over 400 singles in the charts, around 1,000 composed songs and more than 100 million records sold, he is one of the most successful solo artists in the world.

“The Udo Jürgens Story” is the brainchild of the Vienna-born actress Gabriela Benesch, who also knew Udo Jürgens personally, and her husband, the Swiss director, actor, author and producer Erich Furrer. With humor and great empathy, she tells stories and anecdotes from the great entertainer's personal notes. She takes the audience on a journey from Udo Jürgen's childhood to his old age, providing deep insights into his career and his work - true to the motto: “His life, his love, his music”.

The narrative insights are musically accompanied by singer and pianist Alex Parker. It is not without reason that Parker is considered the best-known Udo Jürgens interpreter. In the style of his great idol, Parker knows how to create a highly emotional atmosphere between himself and his audience in a likeable way. Udo Jürgens confirmed how close he is to the original to the then 19-year-old Alex Parker himself when he heard him singing in a hotel lobby.

The director and producer is Erich Furrer, who was born in Vienna and grew up in Switzerland. Furrer studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Bern/CH and has worked for many years as an actor, director, cabaret artist, author and producer. He writes and produces musicals, has enjoyed success with new adaptations of Shakespeare's works and has won awards as an actor in numerous theater productions. “A must for all Udo fans!”

Tarzan-The Musical

A young family is shipwrecked and - barely stranded on the African coast - is attacked by wild animals. A little boy is left behind, alone and orphaned, who is taken in by the ape lady Kala and brought up as her own child.
But although Tarzan finds a home with the apes and a good friend in the ape girl Tee, the leader Kerchak still makes him feel, even years later, that he doesn't really belong with them. The feeling that he has yet to find his place in the world becomes even stronger when Tarzan meets humans for the first time. Professor Porter, his curious daughter Jane and the shady Olivia Clayton are on an expedition to explore the jungle.
As time goes by, Tarzan and Jane grow closer and closer, but then events take a turn for the worse and Tarzan and his ape family face great danger...

The original:
The plot of the musical is based on Edgar Rice Burrhough's original from 1912. The story of the jungle boy originally consisted of many serialized stories, so that there are 24 Tarzan novels in total. With over 80 comics, several television programs and over 100 films, there are numerous adaptations. Tarzan is a modern version of the literary tradition of the “hero raised by animals” (Wolfskind). Another example is Mowgli from the Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling.

Sandtheater On Tour - Hans Zimmer - Master of film music

A visual tribute to a musical giant

Hans Zimmer is undoubtedly one of the most important film composers of our time. His epic soundscapes from “Gladiator,” “Inception,” “The Lion King,” and “Interstellar” have made cinema history. Now his unforgettable melodies can be experienced live – in a breathtaking symbiosis of music and sand art!

The sand artists, known for their spectacular live sand painting shows and celebrated on stages in Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig, and Frankfurt, present a unique live experience with “Hans Zimmer – Master of Film Music.” While Hans Zimmer's music plays, magical sand pictures are created on the screen – drawn live in front of the audience by the masters of sand art. Every line in the sand tells a story, every image merges with the music to create an emotional journey through time and Zimmer's cinematic universe.

Directed by Dimitrij Sacharow, founder of the Sandtheater, each performance becomes a cinematic meditation on heroes, dreams, desires, and adventures. A show that touches the soul.

Experience the masterpieces of a genius – told in sand.

Led by the best generation of sand artists Natalya Netselya, Alla Denisova, Olga Lysytska, and Lina Li, they have created over 30 full-length shows and have already thrilled over 5 million viewers. Their best-known productions include literary masterpieces such as “The Little Prince,” “A Christmas Carol,” and ‘Krabat’ (narrated by Ronny Krappmann, known as the voice of “BRISANT” on ARD), Richard Wagner's “Ring Without Words” as a live performance with the Brandenburg State Orchestra, as well as the cult fairy tale “Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella,” which was brought to life by actor and audiobook narrator Oliver Kube.

Director and producer Dimitrij Sacharow, founder of the Sandtheater, has been staging these fascinating narrative formats in sand in a poetic, touching, and unforgettable way since 2015.

Thomas Nicolai: Saxon for Beginners

"Saxon is Saxon! Just let your lower jaw hang loose, don't use any hard consonants and off you go with Saxon for beginners by Thomas Nicolai, the expert for cheerful entertainment and language skills. This show offers you the unique opportunity to go from being a “Drahnduhde” (a dull-witted person) to a clever ‘Riebe’ (head) and “dahdermidd” (to master) the most erotic dialect in Germany. From the 1×1 of Saxon to food and drink, whispers of love and thunderstorms to Saxon all sorts and Saxon for advanced learners.

After all, it's not difficult to start a conversation with a Saxon, but it's even easier to understand them. Understanding does not refer to what he says, but how he says it.

In this show, you will learn details and practical tips on the beauty and poetry of the Saxon dialect.

Among other things, you will experience a Saxon course; listen to the original Saxon dubbed version of “Casablanca”; listen to Saxon native poetry; learn that Kurt Tucholsky and Otto Reutter already had their own personal experiences with Saxon and immerse yourself in the wonderful world of this special dialect.

Nicolai, well known to TV viewers from his appearances on TV TOTAL, Neues aus der Anstalt, Quatsch Comedy Club and Nightwash, comes from Leipzig. In his hilarious instructions, he translates the Saxon into German: “Deor is ne butz'sche Nuhdl” (he is very likeable), “deor will misch behummsen” (cheat) or “deor hadd schon wieder was verbummfiedld” (forgot something).

This evening will leave you in tears of laughter. And afterwards you can travel to Saxony with confidence, you'll understand when it shouts: “Leibz'scher Hauptbahnhouf, alles naushubbn!”

Intelligent, original and hilarious.

And in the end you too will say: Saxon is Saxon!

Multivision show with Sandra Butscheik and Steffen Mender: “Scandinavia - Norway, Sweden & Finland”

Midnight sun and polar night, wild untouched landscapes, rugged coastlines, picturesque fjords, thousands of lakes, romantic forests, unique wildlife, Sami culture and impressive cities with Nordic flair. All this is what makes Scandinavia so magical.

Sandra Butscheike and Steffen Mender have been drawn to the far north again and again for many years. For their presentation, the photographers and filmmakers spent a whole year traveling in Norway, Sweden and Finland in all seasons.

They accompanied the oldest passenger ship in the world along the Göta Canal and drove their VW bus up the Norwegian coast to the Lofoten Islands and the North Cape.
The two enjoyed the unique flair of the Scandinavian cities and were able to observe bears, musk oxen and moose in the wild. In Finland, the photojournalists spent a week paddling through the island labyrinth of the Saimaa region and attended the Women's Carrying World Championships. In Lapland, the duo gained an insight into the art of knife-making from a German emigrant and learned a lot about the culture and reindeer herding from a Sami family.

The two also laced up their hiking boots several times and explored Jotunheimen and Senja on extended day trips. During a 140-kilometre trekking tour through the untouched landscapes of Padjelanta National Park, the photojournalists marveled at the unique autumn colors in the far north of Sweden.

In winter, they drove 7000 km over snow-covered and icy tracks in a van and spent a week dog-sledding through the imposing mountains of the Kungsleden.
North of the Arctic Circle, the polar night creates very special light moods. From September to March, goosebumps are guaranteed when the Northern Lights dance across the sky.

With impressive images, video sequences and drone footage, Sandra Butscheike and Steffen Mender provide an insight into the unique diversity of Scandinavia.

Puschel and hibernation

Musical theater for families with children aged 2 and up

Hibernation?

That's only for hedgehogs, dormice, and moles—or so Puschel believes. He looks forward to sledding and snowball fights and longs for the snow to come. How lucky that Puschel has his keyboard man. A musical flurry of snowflakes works wonders!

The white splendor sparkles and it quickly becomes cozy under Puschel's apple tree. Suddenly, a little hibernation appears in a very cozy light...

Among others, you can hear:
• A, B, C, the cat ran in the snow
• Snowflake, little white skirt
• Snowflake dance...

Recommended for children aged 2-6

musical reading with Francis Mohr: “Mercy Killing”

Francis Mohr reads from his latest crime novel, “Gnadentod – Bedenke das Ende” (Mercy Killing – Consider the End), and a light-hearted short crime story set in Chemnitz. Both texts were published by Chemnitz-based publishing house Paperento. He is accompanied by singer and guitarist Thomas Lautenknecht.

Francis Mohr sends his detective Kafka on a breathtaking journey through time in “Februar” (February) – always on the hunt for an eerie murderer. A mysterious series of deaths rocks the Sonnen Clinic. The trail leads across Saxon forests to the Sudetenland and Berlin in 1941. But why does he suddenly find himself in the middle of the Reich capital – in one of the darkest chapters of German history? A challenging case for Kafka, which also confronts him with the agonizing question: Am I possessed by demons?

Thomas Lautenknecht is a guitarist, singer, and songwriter living in Dresden. Since 2001, he has been performing mostly light-hearted music with his duo Oh alter Knaben Herrlichkeit on stages throughout Saxony. In addition to his work with the old boys, he sets poems and texts by contemporary poets such as Moritz7, Stefan Seyfarth, Udo Tiffert, as well as historical writers such as Theodor Kramer, Hermann Hesse, Joachim Ringelnatz, Gertrud Kolmar, and Fritz Grasshoff. This has resulted in over 280 songs and several instrumental compositions in a wide variety of genres.

Francis Mohr has performed in the reading stages “Federkrieger Dresden” and “Phrase4.” He created a stage adaptation of “Der Schimmelreiter” based on Theodor Storm, which was most recently performed at the Landestheater Vorpommern. He has published several novels, crime novels, short story collections, and most recently books such as “Der Alligator” (2022) and “Gnadentod – Bedenke das Ende” (2025). He has also contributed short crime stories to various anthologies. He earns his living as a psychologist in a clinic. Francis' heart beats for his children, the south, the east, the sea, and port wine.

“Inheritance creep”

Wills and inheritance are serious topics? Not with lawyer Lutz Teetzen! He can get a lot of comedy out of his profession as a probate lawyer and has therefore also been conquering Germany's stages as a cabaret artist for several years. Lutz Teetzen will be performing his successful program “Erbschleicherei - eine heitere Rechtsberatung” on Friday, 12 September 2025 at 19:00 in the Kulturkeller Limbach-Oberfrohna (Bachstraße 6).

Among other things, he will be talking about curious inheritance cases, the inheritances of our celebrities and the biggest mistakes in inheritance law. Who knows that inheritance fraud is not a criminal offense? Experience amusing cabaret that makes you think. Using the means of drama, film and dialog, the audience will be captivated by the subject matter for around 120 minutes. The mixture of legal content and comedic performance makes this play unique. A strong dash of humor adds the right spice to the varied program. Along the way, the audience receives tips on how to direct inheritances correctly (to themselves?!).
